Trying this thing called 'Scrapbooking' again!!

Helllloooooooo!! :)
Long time no blog talk!!

I had a bit of a scrap block for a few months....
since July to be exact!! I was beginning to think I
wouldn't ever scrap again!!
I got rid of most of my stash and most of my supplies.
However, I decided to try again a couple nights ago and
what do you, I did a page....that I liked!! Yeah!!
So I did a couple more. They are ok, not as nice as the first
one I did this time, but I'm just happy to be
scrapping again!!

I have to say that I did enjoy my time off
and exploring new things...like Zentangle!! Love it!!
Also got to do a lot of crocheting and remembered how
much I really enjoy it!!

Here are the layouts I did:

Thanks much for stopping by!!
I hope you have a wonderful, love filled week!!
Until next time...........................tootles!!

7 Layer Bars

For Christmas I made my mom, both of my grandmothers, my mother in law and my sister an 8"x8" mini album documenting DD's yearly making of 7 Layer Bars!! All the albums used different papers but all from the Christmas DCWV stack. They are very plain, but I really liked the way they look!!
This is a bad pix of all of them before I mailed them:

This was the first page. The journaling says:
 The Story of
Vashti’s 7 Layer Bars
Every year since Vashti could stand on a chair next to me,
she has made 7 Layer Bars for Grams Christmas Party!
The past few years little has changed, except for the fact that she no longer needs to stand on a chair beside me.  She is very good cook and enjoys doing her part in making these Christmas Cookies!
Thank you, Vashti!

Christmas Sweets

I really enjoy making Christmas goodies every year. We have some that are tradition and to not make them would be un-Christmas. These include mothers super-duper-chocolate cookies, her spicy molasses cookies, Mexican wedding cakes, mice cookies and Vashti's 7 layer bars. I was a bit conservative with my baking this year, but mother was not! We had tons of cookies and candy for her 43rd annual Christmas party! Actually we had enough fudge and candy for 3-4 trays each of the candy:

And about 5 maybe even 6 of the very large cookie tray's:

A couple random close ups of 2 special kinds of cookie/candy that DD and I make each year:

Mice Cookies:

And Bacon and eggs:

We also really enjoy dipping, and eating, chocolate dipped pretzels!! YUMMY!!

Lastly is the cake that DD made for the party. She didn't go all out this year, but I still think it was cute!!

That's it for this time. Since I may not post again before Christmas, I want to wish each and everyone of you a VERY Merry Christmas!! May it be filled with love and happiness!!
Until next time...............Tootles!!

Our Christmas Tree

Well it seems that I haven't posted in a while!! Sorry about that. I guess I didn't really have anything to post. A sign that I need to be into more scrappy stuff, don't you think??
Actually, I have been scrapping. I'm currently doing the 25 days of Christmas Tags that they are doing over at Swirlydoos. It has been so much fun!! I didn't start until day 10 so I had to go back and catch up. I'm so glad to have the challenge. I have really enjoyed all the different things I have made. I will be posting them after I finish the whole series. I can't wait!!

I thought I'd share a picture of our Christmas tree. We put it up on December 12th, our 18th wedding anniversary!! It was a great day!! It snowed!! I was so happy!! We made cookies and did the tree and just had a good day!!
We haven't gotten our Christmas ornaments for this year yet. See, every year we each pick out an ornament that best suits us for the year. We just haven't seen the perfect thing yet. I think we may be running out of time. I'm touch concerned about it!! Anyway.....Our Tree:

I have also been busy making Christmas treats. The ones pictured below are Cupcake Pops. They are strawberry cream cheese. We got the recipe from Paula Dean's website. They were fun...and interesting too!! DD and DH really liked them. DD took them to school for her class party!! They seemed to go over well!! I have also finished 3 pans of fudge and BUNCHES of cookies. I will post pictures of that when mother makes up the cookie and candy trays!! We still have more cookies to make, so this week has just got started!!

That's it at the moment!! I will try to more on time with my next post!!

Until next time............Tootles!!

Merry Christmas!!
