Family and Blog candy

I LOVE to scrap!! I've been doing some LO's lately and I'm love'n it!! It's a nice break from mini's!! Although I do love my mini's!! :) So... a couple weeks ago we got together with my family for lunch at Red Lobster to celebrate my sister's birthday!! Of course the camera's came out and plenty of pictures were taken. I'm waiting to pick up the picture of my husband and daughter, but I've scrapped the rest!! The first one is of my mom and dad. The next one, which is made from my scraps and which I really like the pop effect of, is me and my sister.

This is me and my sweetheart!! Love'n these pictures my sister took!! It was fun to scrap some new ones of us!!

BLOG CANDY

While making these LO's I tried once again to use rub on's!! It is now safe to say that I dislike them very much!! SO....since I seem to be the only person in the scrapping world with this opionion, I've decied to give some away!! Below is a pix of the ones I'll be sending to one lucky gal!! Here's how you can earn a chance to get your name in the drawing:

1. Make a layout featuring an adult family member

(if you are also in the pix, get your name in the drawing an extra time)

2. Use a rub on somewhere on the LO

(use them in more than one place on your LO, let me know and you can have your name in the drawing an extra time)

Sketches by Mary

I've been so busy working on mini's that I was a touch behind on my LO's. So I went to my favorite source for inspiration...."Sketches By Mary" at Scrappy Jo's!! Vintage Mini Album

A video?? By me?? Oh dear!!

Hi everyone!! I decided to take the plunge and try my luck with a video!! I had no idea that I say 'uhmmmm' so often!! *L* I videoed it myself so it's a little off center at times and rather shaky at times too!! *L* But there must be a first for everything!!

This is of a little mini I just finished using some scraps of Daisy D paper. I really like the pink and green together. I was rather pleased with how it turned out, so I thought I'd let you all see it!! hehe Please let me know what you think!!

Hi everyone!! I'm glad to see so many of you visiting my blog!! It's super exciting!!

I've been thinking that I needed to come in and post but was having a hard time deciding what to post!! Low and behold I come in and see I'm up to 11 followers!! Woo-Hoo!! So true to my word I'm giving away a little chunky album I made. I wrote down all the names and put them in a bowl and DD chose............. BLUUCACA!! Congratulations!! So....I've been working on swaps. One of my favorite pass times!!

I recently joined a new Kit Club that is being run by some friends over at SB dot com.(http://simplyglamorouskitclub.blogspot.com/)

As part of the group, you can participate in a special swap with other members. This time the swap is trading 5x5 chipboard pages. Front and back of just the one page. The requirements were easy...use red, pink, black, white, etc as in a LOVE theme!! There are 8 people participating in this particular swap.

Here is what I came up with:

The left side has a lace pocket with 2 tags in it. The black flower is glimmer misted and has a cream colored pearl heart in the center. (Some of the flowers have pink or red pearl hearts instead) On the right is a 3 way fold. It has a gorgeous butterfly that has been glimmer misted as well. It is also has pink bling on it and the corners. All the edges are inked in black. I hope all the girls in the swap like it!! I have done other things lately.
